The annual comprehensive health screen consultation package includes an initial 60 minute consultation and a 30 minute follow-up consultation​TThe initial 60 minute consultation includes: •   A comprehensive cardiovascular, kidney and metabolic health assessment:  •    Measurement of BMI & waist-to-height ratio & assessment of future risk of cardiovascular, kidney & metabolic complications including type 2 diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, fatty liver disease & sleep apnoea •    Assessment of blood pressure,  pulse rhythm (to exclude atrial fibrillation), 12-lead ECG and heart examination. •    Measurement of oxygen saturation, and examination of lungs •.   Assessment of kidney function including blood and urine tests and calculation of risk of developing kidney failure •.   Full cholesterol profile including LDL-cholesterol, lipoprotein(a) & high-sensitivity CRP (marker of inflammation of heart blood vessels), & calculation of risk of developing cardiovascular disease •.   Assessment of liver function including FIB-4 and calculation of risk of developing liver fibrosis or cirrhosis •.   Calculation of risk of developing osteoporosis (referral for DEXA bone density scan is billed separately).  •.   Sleep apnoea questionnaire assessment (referral for sleep studies is billed separately) Initial consultation 60 minutes includes the cost of 12-lead ECG,blood & urine tests and any private prescription charges.    However, you will be charged separately by the pharmacist for the cost of any medication prescribed

The comprehensive cardiovascular risk assessment package includes an initial 60 minute consultation and a 30 minute follow-up consultation. Please note that both sessions are required to complete the health screen assessment Initial 60 minute appointment: £850 Full CV history & examination with digital stethoscope, atrial fibrillation check with Kardia 6L digital monitor, sitting and standing blood pressures, inter-arm blood pressure checks and checks for peripheral pulses to exclude peripheral vascular disease.  Ankle-arm blood pressure ratio will be checked if peripheral vascular disease suspected 12-lead ECG using Kardia 12L 4 day portable Cortrium heart monitor looking for abnormal heart rhythms  Full CV risk profile bloods including full cholesterol profile (LDL-cholesterol, apolipoprotein A1 & B, ApoA/ApoB ratio, lipoprotein (a), high-sensitivity CRP, Lp-PLA2), kidney, liver & diabetes screen & urine test for UACR (marker of kidney damage and cardiovascular risk factor)  Follow-up 30 minute appointment: £150 Review of investigation results (12-lead ECG, portable heart monitor, blood & urine), review of calculated cardiovascular risk scores (10-year and lifetime risk of developing cardiovascular disease) Individualised recommendations for behavioural, lifestyle and medical interventions Cost of any prescription charges is included but cost of medication will be charged separately by the pharmacist Any additional blood or urine tests required will be billed separately.

If you have palpitations, "funny turns" which may involve loss of consciousness, or a feeling of your heart skipping a beat, book our light weight, wearable cardiac monitor to continuously monitor your heart rhythm. Choose between a period of 2 days to 2 weeks to capture an arrhythmia (rhythm disturbance). The cost includes a fully verified report of your heart rhythm over this period of time with advice and guidance on any recommended actions. At the initial appointment a GP will ask you about your symptoms, and examine you to listen to your heart and check your blood pressure. The cardiac monitor will then be applied. It is very small, light and comfortable to wear.

We can provide a full travel medicine consultation including advice and administration of all vaccinations and recommended anti-malarial treatment for your trip.

We can prescribe medication for acute and chronic illness. ​ You may take your prescription to a local pharmacy Alternatively we are able to arrange for your medication to be delivered to your home (usually the day after your appointment).

No. Unfortunately private health insurers do not pay for GP services.

Yes. Guidance from the Department of Health says: ‘Patients who have chosen to pay privately for an element of their care are entitled to receive NHS diagnostic tests free of charge as long as they are eligible”.

No. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance, or no refund will be given.

Yes we can do a full range of lab tests through one of the best UK labs with most results next day, We can arrange for Imaging from any provider including those outside of Edinburgh if that is the best place for you. This can be X ray, MRI scans, CT scans or Ultrasounds.

We can give you an online prescription for any pharmacy or have your medication delivered to your door, usually by the next day.
